Things I miss

After living in the USA for 7 years I have gotten cultured into the American lifestyle and to be honest with you guys... I love it. I mean, I am not like the typical American girl is with all the "OH EM GEEE's" but I love the way people live here and I love all the opportunities.

BUT there are obviously a lot of things that I miss about Sweden.. For example:

• The Candy.... Obviously this was the first thing that came to my mind because I am totally completely obsessed with candy and no matter how healthy I ever decide to be I will never give up on the amazing Swedish candy. If you ever go to Sweden, go into the grocerystore and get a bag and pick some "djungelvrål", "kryptoniter" & buy some marabou orange!
• Semlor. Need I say more?! A delicious bun with whipped cream in it. 
• Macaroni & Meatballs. The perfect meal for me.. typical Swedish :)
• Okey I noticed I have only mentioned food... Couldn't help it. The Subway! I honestly hate being on the subway in Stockholm because it makes me want to puke, but it is soooo convenient.  It takes you anywhere in the shortest time ever. Maybe I miss it because in Miami the transportation completely sucks! It takes me an hour to get somewhere that it takes 10 minutes with the car.
• Fika. I mean sure you can go grab a coffe and some pastry here in the USA but it is just not the same feel. In Sweden everyone goes for a fika all the time just to sit and talk. 
• I guess that leads to relaxation. People here don't seem to ever take a break. People are always on the go and never take a break just to observe and be... Only the tourists.
• Is it bad that I still can only think about food items??

Pool-Chill

It was such a nice and sunny day I decided to go lay by the pool! Since I am on summer break right now I can just chill all day and do whatever I want. And Miami is the perfect place to do that at. I love this city!

What do you guys do during the summer? What is a must?
For me I want to spend as much time outside as possible because I love the nature and I love the beautiful hot weather. A must for me is to travel somewhere, I always go to Greece, but I try to travel to some other place as well. I want to go to some Caribbean island this summer, or Key West here in Florida.. Any advice? 

All the little things

I think it is important to think about what you are thankful for in life. We often complain about small things and we don't appreciate things often enough. These are the things a lot of people take for granted... But if you really think about it, a lot of people are not as lucky as we are.. So start appreciating something everyday.

1. I am thankful for being able to get my education in College.
2. I am thankful for having a healthy family who have enough money to take care of themselves and live an eventful life.
3. I am thankful for P (my boyfriend and best friend for the past 7 years). I do not know how I would have made it through these years moving away from my home alone.
4. I am thankful for getting the chance to pursuit my dreams.

Haters

Is it just me who think all this hate towards celebrities is insane?

I dont understand what is so interesting and fun to talk snack about famous people or other people in general. There are celebrities that I dont like or that I might be jealous off.. but instead of focusing my energy on being jealous of famous people who are being successful, I focus my energy in finding out what I can do to be successful! Why go around and hate on them and talk shit like the tabloids do?

An example is all the gossiping about how Kim Kardashian gained so much weight now that she is pregnant and that her boyfriend Kanye left her just for that reason. Like really? Why assume/guess/wish her that? She is only human and she is just like us probably feeling insecure about her weightgain but for gods sake her body is creating and nurturing a new human being.

I feel that all people care about nowadays is money. People would do anything for it without caring who they hurt or what consequences they create by writing horrible things about others.

Question... Marijuana, should it be legal or not?

Personally I really wouldn't mind if it was legal. It does not hurt people but rather make people feel better. Why not make cigarettes and alcohol illegal then? I mean that has killed a huge amount of people which weed hasn't. Alcohol kills people from alcohol poisoning and drunk-driving, and smoking leads to lungcancer. What has weed done?
I believe in the harm principle... If it doesn't hurt other, people should have the liberty to do what ever they shall please. Does weed hurt the person who is smoking? NO. Does weed hurt the people surrounding the person who is smoking? NO.. So what is the deal? Does the government not want people to feel stress relieved and to just feel better when they are in pain? It is not a hardcore drug that get's someone addicted or that get's someone completely messed up like the other drugs that people do.

Now you guys probably think that I am a pothead.. But truth to be told, I never smoke weed. I just think that it is a crazy big debate in this country and it shouldn't have to be.

Can you believe we do this repeatedly for the first like 25 years of our lives? With the addition of certain hobbies or whatever that we have. I never believed that routine is the best thing for me. Maybe for others but not for me. To me routine means that we do not explore. It means not exploring everything that we can do in our lives. It means that we are stuck doing the same thing over and over and not finding out what we love to do. If we do not explore and get out there we will never know what we love to do and we will never love our lives. A lot of people go on by replacing "Go to class" by "go to work", and a lot of people do not love their job and only go because they have to in order to survive.

I think an important thing in life is to find what you love and figure out a way how you can work with that! 

A perfect life for me for a couple of years (before I have a family) would be:

Queen B

My absolute favorite singer, entertainer, model and everything else is Beyoncé....Not only does she have an amazingly beautiful voice, but she is the perfect example of a strong, independent woman. I love everything about this woman and she can make me laugh, cry and shiver with her voice and her perfect songs. I relate so much to her songs and I can listen to them for hours on repeat any given day. The voice is flawless and the songs are beautiful poems with music! Can't wait for her concert in Miami the 10th of July! So extremely excited.

The Naked Yogini

I need your opinion... Im gonna be honest, Im a pretty jealous girl but it is caused by certain reason. I do not want my man to go out for drinks with a hot girl even though they claim to be friends for example.. Is that just me? Am I crazy for not being too happy with things like that? Tell me what you think... Please! Need to know that I am not crazy.

Okey so listen to this. My man lives in a two-bed and two-bath apartment. He used to live with his close friend who we both knew from highschool. The guy moved out after a few months because his dad had bought him and his brothers a house. So now my man was stuck in the apartment alone... and the landlord wanted him to pay the full rent which turned out to be really expensive. So what he did was to look for a roommate on craigslist.
After many responses and many people looking at the other room and saying it was too small, there was one girl who came to look at it and wanted to move in the day after. I spend most of my time at his apartment so the day she moved in I went to her car with them to help her move up her things. I was nice to her, did not give her any bitchy looks or anything. Most girls probably would have... I mean your man is about to move in with another girl! But I was trying to be the good girlfriend and just act like it was nothing. I knew he really needed a roommate so I just went with it.

This girl... is just... something else. She is 30 years old (me and my bf are in our early 20's), she owns her own company (she's a yogini), and it seems to be pretty successful. Therefor, she works from home and she barely leaves the apartment. There is a long list of things that just pisses me off about this girl.

To begin, she wakes up early around 7 and puts her speakers on with loud music on at this time. Really?? WE ARE NOT MORNING-PEOPLE!! Lets keep em coming... She has occupied the whole apartment... Her things are everywhere although she claims that she wants the place to be organized because she needs her Zen. The kitchen-table is full of her papers, computer, speakers, magazines. And here we are trying to eat. I mean it is called a kitchen-table for a reason and she does have a desk all for herself that she could be using but NOPE she has to use the kitchen-table. There is no possible way to eat by that place. Funny thing is that she complains about when things are a mess when its not hers... Like the dishes for example. She complained to my bf about them not being done but yet when they are all hers they stay in the sink for weeks.

There are so many more things I could tell you about her but I will fast-track and tell you guys about the craziest thing that she does. Me and my boy had been at the gym.. it was around 8pm and we got in and the kitchen and the table area is pretty much right when you get in. She is standing in the kitchen... in a top and......... Guess! A thong.... Like I see her whole ASS. ... And she acts like nothing is wrong. She starts having a normal conversation with my man in her thong. I get pissed and just goes by because I really do not want to see her as I know I will flip out and punch her lol!

Dream Destination

Since I was a child i have always been traveling a lot and that is something I am very passionate about. I mean who doesn't love to see different countries? When I travel I love to just take in the new culture, the new nature and see how the people in that country live.
The world is such an amazing place that to not go out and see it is a waste of life. We are here to explore.. To see what there is out there for us. Maybe you live in a country your whole life and have no clue what we have potential to be, because all you see and do are constantly the same things. I think that traveling gives people so much experience and makes a person grow hugely.

Obviously I have already been to many places in Sweden because that is where I am from and where I lived until I was 16. The second most visited place for me is probably the USA since that is where I have been living since then. Third most visited place is Greece because that is where all my relatives live and where I have been traveling every year since I was born.

I have also visited a lot of countries in Europe: Denmark, Finland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Turkey, Czech Republic, Croatia, Spain, France and Great Britain. But Oh there are many places I want to visit.

Outside of Europe I have only been to the USA, Mexico, Barbados and the island of Curacao (in the Caribbean). In the USA I have been in Miami (since I live here), Tampa (where I used to live), New York, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Houston, Waco, El Paso, Premont (Texas).

My dream is to take a year or two to just travel and spend some time in countries and really live the way they do. My top destinations where I want to visit is Australia, New Zeeland, South Africa, Brazil and China. But hopefully one day I can take a trip all over the world and visit every country.

I will tell you more about my favorite trips later... What are your dream destinations? And what would you like to do when you are there?

Disobedient Owners...

Gooosh! People have no clue how to take care of dogs..at least not in Miami. Nearby where I live there is a nice, pretty big park where everyone goes with their dogs and let them play and run around. Every time I go there, at first I think: if I had a dog I would bring it here everyday! But as I walk around in the park and look at the dogs my mind drastically changes. I love dogs and definitely am not scared of them, but if I was... I would not be able to even go near that park.
I will be walking looking down at my phone and all of a sudden feel something furry on my foot... An unleashed dog is sniffing my feet and legs and there is no owner to pull him away. I really don't care as I do not mind dogs, but imagine those people who are. Imagine those people who fear dogs and a random one just comes up to you licking you or whatever. I would freak out.

How about this one... I see dogs all the time running up to other dogs who are leashed and walking with their owner. Okey, you are probably thinking that why should that bother me? It would annoy the hell out of me if dogs just came up to my dog without any notice. What if my dog doesn't like other dogs and I have it leashed because I know this and that he might attack. Then in the end it would be my fault that YOUR dog came up to mine and then got attacked...That is like me provoking someone by slapping them, and then they kick the shit out of me... I mean I get what I asked for..

The sad part is that it is not even the dogs fault though.. It is all about the owner. I think that when someone buys a dog there needs to be required checkups and classes, and people shouldn't be able to buy dogs in stores. They should come from breeders who are serious animal lovers. Teach your dog how to act, just how you would teach your child how to act!!

Tattoos can be a very controversial topic. You either love them or hate them. People see them as trashy or believe that you can't get a job if you have tattoos. Maybe that's true.. but I see tattoos as art. I love tattoos and I think they are a way to express yourself and also remind you of things that are important. I have one tattoo but I definitely want more.

I think it is really sexy with people who have a lot of tattoos. Especially on women I think that it looks tough and cool which I think looks nicer than that sweet look. But I also love smaller tattoos that have a message behind them.

Unnecessary Knowledge

Starting College four years ago was a new type of experience for me..as for everyone I guess, but for me because I didn't know much about American college since I'm not from here, except from what I have seen on movies. I guess I never was that type of College girl who joined sororities and went to all these college-parties, because I had already done all that in Highschool. I was over that phase of my life and already on my "grown-girl" mode. I wanted to feel older and more mature and go to clubs although I was too young to get in. But with the right contacts and the tight dresses I managed to get in to the hottest clubs in my new hometown of Miami. I loved the clubbing nightlife. My friends would invite me to go to the dorm-parties but I rejected them every time.

School was whatever.. My major was Pre-Law, but my classes included Psychology, Biology and Sociology. Whats up with all these "ology"-classes that have absolutely nothing to do with my major? I didn't get it, and it made me feel like I didn't need to study because I didn't need to know about these subjects anyways. When would I ever use the knowledge of how they treated schizophrenia in the 60's? My phone became my best friend during classes and it was my savior from a lot of hours of a lot of boringness! As soon as class was over I hurried back to my dorm, dreaming about a big nice apartment and a car, got dressed and got out of the University. I couldn't stand staying inside of these fences any longer than I needed to, to get the attendance I needed to pass my classes.

The classes that had nothing to do with what I wanted to do once I graduated from College, made me want to get out of there even worse. It felt like a waste of money, time, and brain-activity. How can I bring myself to wake up at 8 am for a class that I had no interest in nor needed that knowledge to be a successful lawyer.

Now that it is my last year of College... I am both happy and annoyed by the unnecessary classes that I took. Some of them weren't really that needless. My mind has traveled a long road through thoughts of what I want to do after graduation. I should be going to law-school, but my brain is such a creative place and I get new ideas every day! My mind is for sure the entrepreneur type of mind, and I have business ideas that I want to fulfill and develop really bad. I guess all the classes, but even more, the life experiences I got during my collegetime, made me realize that I could never settle for a job where all I do it mostly paperwork in an office. I need to get out, do things, stay active and see the world..

Change

Are you the type of person that gets bored easily? I do for sure... Well maybe it's just me who haven't notice this until recently.

I love the picture selection for wallpaper on my Mac. They have a lot of pretty pictures and I don't have to google around finding a good picture that actually fits the screen. So I had a picture... thought it was real pretty.. then I got bored.. So I changed it of course. Then I got bored after a couple of weeks again. . After this had happened about 30 times I noticed this setting that makes the wallpaper change in a frequency. I chose to have my wallpaper change randomly every day. Awesome if you need a small simple change! lol I know.. what an awesome tip! just sayin.. :)

The Real World... Mars

lol have you guys seen this? If y'all want to leave Earth for good there are possibilites of moving to.... wait for it.... Mars! Submit your application! Haha OMG they should definitely do a TV reality show about the people they send up there that would be dope!

No but really, these applications on the website are mad serious and people are actually trying to do this! Would you like to do it? Leave your whole life here at Earth for good, to move to another planet in which you have no clue on what will happen. You don't know how far you can take your life there or what you will be able to do.. Tell me what you feel about this! Would you go??

Young, Pregnant & Naked...

All college students!! How are you guys feeling about finals?! I am officially dying from this stress and all the information I am cramming into my brain during these last minute study-sessions. 2 down 2 to go!

So I am guessing some of you heard about that girl from "Teen Mom" who made a porno? Well for those who don't know, Farrah Abraham is a girl who was i MTV's show Teen Mom, which is all about young girls who have a baby/babies. Her baby is now 4 years old and Farrah allegedly hired a porn-star to make a video with her that she then "leaked" out on the internet. The girl has now singed a contract that gives her almost $1 million for the rights of the sex-tape. WOW...

First of... Teen mom is/was such a provoking show. These young girls have no clue what they are doing and it makes me feel that people should need a license to have babies. They curse out their mothers who take care of their children... I mean they are just crazy. What is up with all these young kids getting pregnant though? I am 23 and have a relationship since I was 16 but I make sure I use contraceptives, because I know I am not ready to bring a child into this world yet.

But anyways. This girl Farrah is just an awesome example on why young girls are not able to bring up a child. She might be an amazing mother for all I know, but what was her reason for making that sex-tape? Money? For sure! She needs money to be able to support her child since most of these teen moms end up being single mothers. They are too young to find enough money to be able to take care of their children. What is her child going to say when she gets older and finds out about this? And even worst, what will the child's friends say? Poor baby..

The Third Locker-Room

So I am originally from Sweden, and a quite funny debate has been going on over there lately. I guess most Americans will find it ridiculous since most of y'all are pretty strong to your religion. But listen to this...

So you know how in schools you have two locker-rooms, one for girls and one for boys, well schools wants permission to add an extra locker-room for those who feel that they cannot identify themselves as one gender. You know, those people who feel that they are born in the wrong body. If this suggestion goes through, some school's will have three locker-rooms; one for male, one for female, and one for.... what? "Bimale"(?). Uhm... What do you guys think about this? 

Humans are biologically either female or male (some people happend to be born as hermaphrodite, but I don't think this issue is about them) and we are separated because there are many differences between the two; not only biologically, but physically and mentally as well. So is this third locker-room supposed to get filled by both genders? What will happen in there? I think they probably will need supervision because people will definitely take advantage of the fact that they can see the other gender naked if they go in there. Will people even have the courage to go in there if they feel out of place in their gender or will they be embarrassed when people see them do it? I think they will.

Is the world leaning towards creating a third gender? Or are they trying to unite the two into becoming only one gender? What do you think will happen with this in the future?

Mysteriously I am entering into the blog-world with the nonsense that I will make sense of. Let's talk about everything in between the core of Earth to the end of the Universe, and discuss everything that comes to our minds.
